Congress May Want Kareena Kapoor Khan To Contest Lok Sabha Elections. But, Is The Actress Interested?
Several Bollywood celebrities have veered towards politics at some point in their lives. From Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Shatrughan Sinha to Govinda, we have seen them turn politicians. In fact, superstar Rajinikanth too joined the list recently. Now, the latest name to find itself getting associated with politics is that of Kareena Kapoor Khan. According to NDTV, a local Congress corporator named Yogendra Singh Chauhan placed a special request to Congress party chief Rahul Gandhi for Kareena.

He requests to field Kareena from the Bhopal constituency for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls. Addressing Rahul Gandhi in a letter, he claims that Kareena would serve to be the perfect candidate to defeat their rival BJP. But, his wish to see Bebo contesting Lok Sabha elections won’t be fulfilled anytime soon because the actress has outright denied it to Pinkvilla. She said, “There is no truth to these reports. I have not been approached for this whatsoever. My focus is and only will be movies.”

Now, that should let the rumours die a slow death! On the professional front, the actress will be seen in Good News that also stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani. The new release date of the movie was announced today by producer Karan Johar. She also has Karan Johar’s Takht which features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor too. The movie is slated for a 2020 release.
